The University Museum
The University Museum in Bergen has two museums in the city centre of Bergen, Natural history and Cultural history, with many exciting and informative exhibits!
At The University Museum, Natural History, you can learn more about how our globe was created, and what climate changes are. The museum is also known as the Animal museum, and here you will see whale skeletons, animal, birds and reptiles, but also colourful flowers and shining crystals. And what lives 3000 meter beneath the surface of the sea?
At The University Museum, Cultural History, you will find Viking treasures and Egyptian mummies. Here are tools from the historic farming communities in Norway, the world’s oldest Hardanger fiddle, and ethnographic artefacts from Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
What to do: You may use the card in both our museums within regular opening hours. Please show the card to one of our hosts in the reception of the museum you are visiting. The card gives free entry for two people. (Standard ticket for children under 18: free. Standard ticket adults: 120,-).
